Sigi's and Jezzie's viewing of  "A Thousand Cuts" documentary gives them a sober approach to understanding how the Press is critical in holding governments and private corporate actors accountable for their decisions and actions.  This documentary chronicles Filipino American journalist, Maria Ressa (CEO of Rappler), as she becomes the target of outgoing President Duterte's crackdown on news outlets. Later, Jezzie explores with Sig the influence of Spanish Colonialism on the politicking in the Philippines and the importance of speaking truth to power.
