To kick off Crime and Punishment theme for this March on The Halo Halo Podcast, Sigi and Jezzie welcome special guest, Christine Abrigana, the creator and host of Lagim: A Filipino True Crime Podcast. Joining the hosts virtually  from Greece, Christine dives into the podcast to talk about her immigration story; growing up in Davao City; where she is locating herself at the moment and Miss Universe pageants. Later, Christine shares with us how her podcast began in December 2020 and features cases involving Filipinos in the motherland and the diaspora. To end off our Social Justice episodes this February, Jezzie and Sigi revisit Community Care. They both acknowledge that taking action through social justice work can be tiring and note the  importance to take care of ourselves and others.  One way of taking action can be about providing community care, in any way we know how.  At the end of the day, community care is about infusing this world with more compassion.

On this revisiting of social justice topics for the month of February, your co-hosts make even more room for anger and decide to linger on this topic further.  As they linger on this topic of anger, Sigi and Jezzie are reminded of how anger reveals the true source of injustice that marginalized communities face and decide to recall Episode 309 - Righteous Anger & Indignation, where we are reminded that anger is really a call to help others instead of shaming those that have faced oppression.

Your co-hosts continue to revisit previous episodes of their Social Justice Collections for this month of February. In this episode revisit, they return to Episode 216.5 - "Making Room for Anger," where they discuss how anger naturally comes after communities mourn a tragedy.  Sigi and Jezzie discuss the importance of needing to make room for that anger and being prepared for it.  They speak of how being able to make room for other people's anger is an important way to be in solidarity with those who have experienced injustices and oppression.

On the episode of The Halo Halo Podcast,  Jezzie and Sigi begin with a catch up and talk "Velma", The Golden Globes and Elevated Super Bowl parties. They go into the pop culture vault and talk about the music they were into when they were 33. They also reference a new study which was based mainly on data from U.S. Spotify users, concludes that age 33 is when, on average, people stop discovering new music. Later Jezzie gives all of us a 'nosebleed' while he discuss what it means to be modern, and what does it mean to be a modern Filipino.
