This young adult novel follows the protagonist, Jay Reguero, on a quest to the Philippines to understand his cousin's untimely death. This cultural awakening and discovery for the "Patron's" main character, Jay, not only leads him to the reasons surrounding his cousin's death, but a better self-understanding as well. Sigi and Jezzie are joined by their inaugural guest, Chelle Turingan, where they discuss various themes from the book, like Filipino identity in the diaspora, and going back 'home' to the Philippines.
